The Blade in our imperial sword series are hand made and folded from high carbon steel or 440 stainless steel. To produce an edge hardness of HRC 60, every blade is heat treated showing a visible temper line. Tsuba, Fuchi and Kashira are handcrafted from casting steel. The Habaki is beautifully polished brass. We use genuine ray skin on most of our collection to cover the handle and 100% cotton wrap around the handle
